About Fenstertagplaner
Radif Partners reads sections 7 and 7a of Austria's Rest Periods Act, the 1957 Public Holidays Act, the federal summer-time ordinances and section 2 of the School Hours Act on RIS, computes Easter with Gauss's formula and derives bridge days, working days, patron saints' days and calendars for 2026 to 2028. The arithmetic runs in your browser. We sell no trips, no hotels and no calendars.
Why this site exists
Every autumn many people in Austria book next year's leave and look for the bridge days (Fenstertage). The usual lists name the days but do not say which combination gets the most out of your leave budget, mix patron saints' days with statutory holidays, or skip the fact that Good Friday has not been a holiday since 2019. This site works through each of the nine provinces, keeps statutory holidays apart from days without school, and shows parents where autonomous school days fit.
Who publishes it
The publisher is Radif Partners, a company that builds tools from public rules. Radif Partners is not an authority, an education directorate or a lobby group, has no link with any provincial government and uses no coats of arms. The site sells no trips, hotels or calendars and carries no affiliate links.

Where the data comes from
The holidays are in section 7 of the Rest Periods Act and the 1957 Public Holiday Rest Act, the personal holiday in section 7a ARG, and the leave entitlement in the Annual Leave Act. Breaks and autonomous school days follow from the School Hours Act, and patron saints' days from the provinces' school acts, such as the Vienna Schools Act. Easter is computed with the PTB's Easter formula, and the clock changes follow the summer-time ordinances. How everything is computed is on the method page; how we correct mistakes is in the editorial policy.
Your data
Every calculator runs in your browser. The province, leave days and school year you enter are neither sent nor stored. There is no account and no form. Details are in the privacy notice.
What the site does not do
It does not approve leave and does not know your collective agreement. Whether the patron saint's day, 24 or 31 December is off for you is in your contract or service code; which autonomous school days apply is known to your child's school.
